Assessments - Real Property
The State Department of Assessments and Taxation determines the taxable assessment of your real property. It is important that you verify assessment notices received from the SDAT for accuracy. Assessments you do not agree with may be appealed.
St. Mary's County Assessments office can be reached by calling 301-880-2900 or via E-mail: sdat.stm@maryland.gov. The office is located in the Joseph D. Carter State Office Building, 23110 Leonard Hall Drive, Room 2059, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. Hours of Operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
