COVID-19 Operation Updates and Changes

|Board of Education||St. Mary’s County Public Schools Department of Food and Nutrition Services announce changes in the schedule for curb-side meal distribution. Meals are available for students ages 18 years and younger. Meals can be picked up from any school site even if your student attends a different school. Curb-side meals are distributed on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Meal bags include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack, plus milk and/or water for each student. |
As we enter Phase 3 of the Return to School Hybrid Instruction for students, more support is needed in our kitchens to prepare meals for students who are on site. Beginning the week of March 1, curb-side meal distribution will continue Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays; however, the time is changed to 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

|Circuit Court||Beginning March 15, 2021, courts are open to the public. |
Courts resume non-jury trials and contested hearings in criminal, civil, family, and
juvenile matters, as described in the attached Exhibit, with continued restrictions to limit the concentration of individuals and allow social distancing, consistent with guidance of the CDC or MDH or both. Visit https://www.stmarysmd.com/circuit-court/.
|College of Southern Maryland||Effective March 30, 2021, The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) will move to Phase 2 - Restricted Operations. In Phase 2, in-person student services hours will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., appointment only. Classes will continue virtually, with limited face-to-face classes. |Commissioners||Effective Monday, March 15, 2021 at 8 a.m., at 8:00 a.m., St. Mary's County Government Administrative Offices will open to walk in traffic. The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County will continue to conduct important County business following social distancing guidelines and face coverings will be required. |Congregate Meals||Congregate meals at the Senior Activity Centers are suspended until further notice. Meals are being delivered.|
|Convenience Centers||Six convenience centers are operating on a normal schedule with all services available.|
|County Government (Employees)||St. Mary’s County employees are expected to report at Liberal leave is in effect for employees.|
|District Court||On March 15, 2021, the Maryland Judiciary will begin Phase IV of its COVID-19 five-phased progressive resumption of operations plan. Phase V full operations resume on April 26, 2021, including jury trials. The Judiciary has been in Phase II emergency operations since November 30, 2020. Beginning March 15, the clerks’ offices in the circuit courts and District Court locations will be open to the public for all matters, though the number of people may be limited to achieve COVID-19 social distancing requirements. |

|Home-Delivered Meals||Home-Delivered meals are being supplied.|
|Land Use & Growth Management||Effective March 15th, St. Mary's County Government offices are open to the public.|
The Department of Land Use and Growth Management will continue to accept permit applications and commercial project and subdivision submittals via email, U.S. mail, FedEx, and UPS or “drop box” in the main hallway of the Patuxent Building located at 23150 Leonard Hall Drive.

|Landfill||The St. Andrews Landfill is operating on a normal schedule.|
|Library||St. Mary's County Library is currently open for walk-in browsing and computer use. In accordance with the new guidance from Governor Hogan, we are excited to announce that starting Monday, March 15 have removed capacity limits for visitors to our locations. Masks and social distancing are still required. Curbside and drive-through service will continue. |
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 1 to 6 p.m.; Friday, 12 noon to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Library will be closed on Sunday. See the latest updates at https://www.stmalib.org/update/.
|Patuxent River Naval Air Station||NAS Patuxent River has transitioned from Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Bravo to Charlie effective Nov. 21, 2020, as a result of increasing COVID-19 cases in the Southern Maryland region. Patrons are reminded to follow NAS Patuxent River’s social media feeds on Facebook (www.facebook.com/NASPaxRiver) and Twitter (@NASPaxRiverPAO), as well as the NAS Pax River COVID-19 Information page at https://www.cnic.navy.mil/regions/ndw/installations/nas_patuxent_river/ffr/nas-patuxent-river-covid-19-information.html for updates on available base services and hours.|

|Senior Centers||Remain closed. At this time, Senior Information & Assistance appointments will not be conducted in person. Individuals are encouraged to conduct business by phone or email or to reschedule appointments for a time when Senior Activity Centers have reopened.|
|St. Mary's County Regional Airport||The airport is operating but the terminal is closed to the public. The FBO is open and operational, 8 a.m - 5 p.m., seven days a week.|

|Treasurer's Office||Effective March 15, 2021, at 8:00 a.m., the Treasurer’s Office is open for walk-in services. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Online payment options are available at https://www.paytaxes.us/md_stmarys/ Please utilize MVA online tag renewal services.|
