Land Use & Growth ManagementEffective September 8th, St. Mary's County Government offices are open, accepting walk-in customers. Face coverings required; number of customers restricted by capacity limits and social distancing guidelines. The Department of Land Use and Growth Management will continue to accept permit applications and commercial project and subdivision submittals via email, U.S. mail, FedEx, and UPS or “drop box” in the main hallway of the Patuxent Building located at 23150 Leonard Hall Drive. LandfillThe St. Andrews Landfill is operating on a normal schedule.
LibrarySt. Mary's County Library buildings are now open Monday - Thursday, 1 - 6 p.m. and Friday - Saturday, 12 - 5 p.m. Limited numbers of people will be permitted in the building at one time. Patuxent River Naval Air StationHPCON SHIFT ADVISORY
Naval District Washington (NDW) installations, including NAS Patuxent River, transitioned from Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie to Bravo, June 29.
NDW changed the HPCON as a result of declining COVID-19 transmission in the National Capital Region, and NAS Patuxent River will begin reopening certain Base Operating Services in the coming days and weeks as staff come back and are trained up on new SOPs and rules under which we can operate. Senior CentersRemain closed. At this time, Senior Information & Assistance appointments will not be conducted in person. Individuals are encouraged to conduct business by phone or email or to reschedule appointments for a time when Senior Activity Centers have reopened.
St. Mary's County Regional AirportThe airport is operating but the terminal is closed to the public. The FBO is open and operational, 8 a.m - 5 p.m., seven days a week.
