TAP (Teen Arts Performance) The Juilliard School and Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington Summer
Juilliard announces official partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington Summer camp in Scotland Maryland (www.clubedutainment.org)
Fifteen Juilliard staff, graduates and interns will join the TAP Camp team to conduct intensive performing arts sessions that compliment an original TAP curriculum. Students will be prepped for the realistic rigors of being accepted into the world’s most prestigious conservatory. A Lion King Cast Member and other guest artists will join TAP staff. Juilliard Staff will also assist in preparation for the final Musical Theatre Production (July 15-17) and a display of skills at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage on July 8.

• One-on-one coaching in all disciplines
• Final Edutainment Musical (July 13th - 17th)
• Visual Arts, Costume, Set and Backdrop Design
• Performance at Kennedy Center (July 8)
• Performance at the DuPont Park Theatre (July 10)
• Round trip transportation (Depart Mon. & return Sat.)
• 3 meals and a snack per day
• Air-conditioned cabin lodging
• Swimming, biking and lots of camp fun….
TAP Camp Fee: $500 – if accepted
TAP CAMP AUDITIONS (March 27 & April 9)
Students may audition in any of the following:
Musical Theatre: 2 minute song & 2 minute monologue
Drama: 2-3 minute monologue
Vocal Music: 2 minutes of any song (piano will be available)
Dance: 2 minute choreographed routine
Instrumental: (Piano, violin, viola, cello, drums, upright & electric bass and lead guitar): 2 minutes in any genre
Visual Arts and Costume Design: A portfolio must be submitted that includes a combination of 5 sketches and/or designs. A “live” sketch session and interview will also be conducted on audition dates.
