Set in England during the late Victorian era, The Importance of Being Earnest is a hilarious look at fun, games, and the dubious ethics among the British upper crust. The play is thick with witty dialogue and pokes gentle fun at the foibles and hypocrisy of late Victorian society. It has proved to be Wilde's most enduringly popular play. Admission.
