St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation and Parks is pleased to announce the Carver Afterschool Program opened on Wednesday, March 18, 2009. This program is located at Carver Recreation Center, 47382 Lincoln Avenue, Lexington Park, MD in the Old George W. Carver Elementary School building. 

The program is open every Wednesday from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm for youth, grades 1^st to 8^th. 

Opportunities are available for children to participate in homework club, computer lab, literacy activities, arts and crafts, board games and physical activities. 

Carver Recreation Center also has space available for workshops, meetings and holiday party rentals.   There is also a gym available for rental on a short term hourly use or long term use.
