Community Standards in Youth Sports and Certified Coaches  
 

Sports program opportunities are offered through a combination of St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks sponsored programs and through volunteer youth sports leagues. Volunteer youth sports leagues provide recreational opportunities for over 11,000 youth on 800 different teams.     

Thousands of volunteers (coaches, parents and Board Members) administer and operate these leagues on a daily basis. Registration costs, fund-raising, and league policy are decisions made by each league's volunteer board. Therefore, information may change without Department knowledge prior to registration.
