Receives USTA Maryland Tennis Grant

8-17-07 - The Board of County Commissioners and the Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services are pleased to announce that the County has received a USTA Maryland Tennis grant. During the August 2, 2007 Recreation and Parks Citizen Advisory Board meeting Mr. Chris Reynolds, President of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Maryland branch, presented a ceremonial check for $5,000 for the Dorsey Park tennis courts. Funds from this "Fix a Court" grant were used to install a "Premier" soft surface court and windscreens at the park.  The work on the courts is now complete.
