The St. Clement's Island Museum in Colton's Point
invites the public to attend "Maryland Day" and
commemorate the landing of the first English colonists
on St. Clement's Island and the realization of the
official charter on March 25, 1634.
The event takes place on the lawn of the museum,
beginning at 11 a.m. The program includes remarks by
the St. Mary's County Board of Commissioners, keynote
speaker Dr. Edward Papenfuse, Maryland State
Archivist, and a wreath-laying ceremony. Please dress
for the weather!

held inside the museum where space and seating will be
