Volunteer Appreciation Night - April 2, 2008

Cedar Point Officer's Club on the Patuxent River NAS, Lexington
Park, MD. Volunteer Appreciation is presented by the Friends of the
St. Clement's Island and Piney Point Lighthouse to acknowledge and
thank the hundreds of hours of volunteer service for both museums.

Volunteers enjoyed a slide show prepared by the Museum
Division's Chris Barbour entitled "Volunteers Are Our Gold."

Friends president Sheila Hiebert (far left)
presented the "President's Award" to the Chesapeake Bay Running Club
for the annual donation to the Piney Point Lighthouse from proceeds
made from the Lower Potomac River Marathon every March. Pictured
with Sheila are members and officers of the club: Liza Rector, race
director, Paul Serra, treasurer, Sierra Schenk, secretary, Vic
Pagnano, president, and Travis Priest, vice president.
