Skate Park Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Can you skate with inline skates or BMX Bikes in the park?

A.   The Skate Park allows both skateboards and inline skaters to use the park simultaneously however, we do not allow any BMX bikes into the park at the same time for safety reasons. BMX riders are allowed to utilize the park every Wednesday during normal hours or as advertised.

Q. If you exit the park and return in the same day do you need to pay to get in again?

A. Wrist bands will be issued each day for that day only. If you return with the correct band, entrance will be allowed.

Q. Can my friends come to watch and not register?

A. Due to safety concerns, spectators who are not skating may not enter the Skate Park while activity is in progress. Spectators must remain outside the fence. Should a registered skater require assistance from a spectator to “gear up” or for other reasons, the spectator may be granted entry to the holding area just east of the park office. Should a non-skater desire entry to the skating area, that person must wear the required safety equipment, pay the entrance fee and must be registered for park usage.

Q.  Is there a deposit paid at the time of rental of equipment?

A. No, just daily rental fees.

Q. Do I have to wear safety gear?

A.   All skaters must wear appropriate safety equipment: Skateboarders, Inline Skaters and BMX Riders under the age of 18 must wear helmets, knee pads and elbow pads. Skaters, Inline Skaters and BMX Riders 18 and over must wear a helmet. All skaters, Inline Skaters and BMX Riders must wear shoes.

A. No, at this time all hours of operation are for all ability levels.
